FAQ

MEMBERSHIP

What is the difference between the $21 Club and Elite?

$21 members get great access to affordable private jet flights but with no frills and no extras.  You buy your flights as you need them.  Premier members get guaranteed pricing, a free guest for the life of their membership, free access to Free Flier Seats and an annual cash back reward.  They can also book 14 days from the day they wish to fly.

How do I pay and are there any additional fees?

Until we start flying you do not have to pay to join. The only additional fees are your credit cards fees, a Federal Security Fee and if you fly with guests-a guest fee.  You can pay by ACH or BILL PAY.  Pay Pal is coming.  You can even pay by check but your reservation will not be confirmed until your check clears.

Why do you dissuade customers using credit cards?

It’s simple – the very high cost to a company taking credit cards (average of $30,000 a month or more) and in doing it our way, we can better save money and better service our customers.

Can I get a group of friends or family together and buy a membership?

Sure you can, but only one of you can send us the payment.  Call us to help you set this up.

How do I know what kind of jet and which operator is flying me?

At the time of confirmation we have a good idea of the type of aircraft you will be on but if for example your reservation is 180 days out, the operator may not know the exact aircraft they are going to use the day they fly you. Usually about 48 hours before a trip an operator provides us with the exact details of the aircraft we have selected, the “N” number.  As soon as we receive this, we create a trip sheet and send it over to you.  You will have all the details of the crew, aircraft, operator and airport terminal (FBO) you are flying out of.  The FAA requires us to be completely transparent with our customers.

What is a free flier flight?

Our Free Flier Program allows Premier members to take an available empty seat we post onto the website free of charge.  $21 Club members have to open a Jump Point account and build up points to use these.

Can I let a friend or colleague use my membership?

Yes, but it counts as one of your round trips and the person must be TSA cleared prior to the flight.

Do you do anything different for Corporate members?

Yes, all corporate memberships are by application only.  We want to understand your needs so we can understand if we are a fit and can meet your expectations.  It takes about seven days from the time we do a questionnaire with you to the day we provide you with an overview.  Right now it is free to apply but once we start flying there will be a $550 application fee which can be applied to your membership.

RESERVATION SOLUTIONS

When I reserve a jet do I get it to myself?

No. You fly with other Jumpjet members.

How Does The Booking Process Work?

As a member you get 24/7 access to our booking site.  It acts just like an airline booking engine.  You pick the day and time and it gives you a price.  Once you select a date of departure and return and make a reservation it takes us from 2 to 24 hours to get back to you with a confirmation.  Once you confirm that you want that trip, it is yours. And remember, you are doing this in advance – not the night before.

Why 2 to 24 hours for a confirmation?

There are a lot of logistics involved.  We have to arrange the aircraft, make sure you are TSA secured, coordinate other guests and then get back to you.

Do I get to choose the jet?

No. We size the jet to the trip.  We use all sizes of aircraft and since your trip is one of a few that day you might be on a larger 14 pax Falcon aircraft one day and a sleek 7 pax Hawker the next time you fly.

Can I choose the exact time I want to leave?

You can choose specific times, but we also ask for an AM or PM departure window.  Sometimes we get the exact time and sometimes you are off by an hour or two.  But we’ll tell you in advance so you can make your plans.

Am I always guaranteed to get a jet trip?

Yes, provided you stay within the boundaries of your membership.  Remember, Jumpjet is not an on-demand charter service.

How do I know what kind of jet and which operator is flying me?

Usually about 48 hours before a trip, an operator provides us with the exact details of the aircraft we have selected – the “N” number.  As soon as we receive this we create a trip sheet and send it over to you.  You will have all the details of the crew, aircraft, operator and airport terminal (FBO) you are flying out of, well in advance.

How is security handled?

Jumpjet follows all the Federal, State and Local laws with regards to air transportation.  You will be pre-screened by the operator flying you against the TSA NO-FLY LIST.  You must have a valid Government-issued identification with you when you fly or there is no flight. If it is deemed you are on the NO-FLY LIST then you will not fly.  You will need to deal with Homeland Security and come back to us with your redress code and written authorization.

TRAVEL

Can I travel to multiple destinations in a single trip?

Yes, but only as a Premier Member at this time, and each time you land it counts as one of your round trips

Do we always fly non stop?

Not always.  Jumpjet reserves the right to stop once on the way.  But stopping in a private jet is nothing like stopping on an airline.  If you are flying coast to coast it is unlikely (except for Aspen, Colorado there will be a stop).

Can I bring pets?

You can bring pets but only dogs at this time.  Prior to the flight we must get the approval of other guests on board due to any possible allergy issues.

What if I live outside the USA? Can I still use Jumpjet?

Yes. As long as you have cleared US Customs and have a valid foreign passport, you can fly Jumpjet.

How are seats assigned?

There are no assigned seats-first come, first served.  However, we try to never fill a plane so that you do not have to sit on a love seat with someone you don’t know.

How is Security handled?

Jumpjet follows all the Federal, State and Local laws with regards to air transportation.  You will be pre-screened by the operator flying you against the TSA NO-FLY LIST.  You must have a valid Government-issued identification with you when you fly or there is no flight.

How many bags can I bring?

Each traveler may take one carry-on type suitcase and one personal item.

Max bag size is 26″ L (66 cm) x 18″ W (45.72 cm) x 12″ H (30.48 cm).

Why do I have to land somewhere else other than my requested city destination during a special event?

Several popular destinations have a slot system at certain times of the year. This may prevent you flying directly into that city.

SECURITY

I am a rock star. Is there a dress code?

While there is no formal dress code we do ask that you be considerate of your fellow passengers when using the aircraft.

How is security handled?

Every person is pre-screened by the operator prior to flight against the “NO FLY LIST”.  Jumpjet follows all Federal, State and Local laws without exception.  You must provide a form of Federally approved identification prior to flight to the crew.  There are no lines.

What is the alcohol policy?

Certain aircraft arrive equipped with a drinks cabinet.  Others do not and you are invited to bring something to hand to the crew for approval.  Alcohol induced behavior that threatens the crew or other passengers will not be tolerated and local law enforcement could be called.

I like to hunt and fish. Can I bring guns and/or rods?

Yes, as long as you have all weapons in a locked case and you have told the operator and Jumpjet at the time of reservations you are planning to do so.  Prior to your entering the aircraft, all hunting weapons must be in a lockable case and you must hand the keys to the pilot or crew member and your belongings must be stored separately from you during flight.

How is seating handled?

There are no assigned seats-first come, first served.  However, we try to never fill a plane so that you do not have to sit on a love seat with someone you don’t know.  We never sit you on the toilet as can happen on a private jet.  If you do end up on a sofa or feel your seat was not up to your expectations, please let us know.

Why does Jumpjet process credit cards through a third party?

When big names like TARGET, NEIMAN MARCUS, CHASE and SONY can’t protect their customers, there is little that Jumpjet can do to offer global protection, especially given the size of our transactions. That is why we have set our credit card processing through a third party in order to protect you.
